About a Home Remodeling Contract


A home improvement or remodeling contract is important especially when you are hiring contractors for the first time, to work at your house project. It ensures that:

1. you know what you are paying for
2. you are protected
3. you know who you are dealing with


1. Know What You Are Paying For:

A good home improvement contract estimate ensures both parties agree on a number of issues related with the project. The estimate includes:

  • detailed specifications of work to be performed

  • how it will be done

  • when it will start and the estimated time of completion

  • what materials or products will be used

  • how much the projects will cost

  • how the payments will be made

  • how much is required as a deposit upon placement of order

  • any applicable warranty detailing what is covered & for how long
